Beginners Crochet One Day Course 9.30am-2.30pm

Never picked up a crochet hook before? Or perhaps you've tried crochet in the past and need a little help getting started?

Our Full Day Learn to Crochet Workshop is a relaxed, hands-on introduction to crochet designed to give you the confidence and skills to continue crocheting at home.

Over the course of the day, we'll break crochet down into two easy-to-follow sessions.

Session One — Crochet Basics

We'll start with the foundations of crochet, including:

• How to hold your hook and yarn
• Understanding crochet terminology
• Making a slip knot and foundation chain
• Learning the basic crochet stitches
• Understanding how to work into stitches
• Counting stitches and keeping your edges straight
• Changing yarn and finishing your work

We'll take our time, practise together and make sure you feel comfortable with the basics before moving on.

Session Two — Your First Granny Square

Once you've mastered the basics, we'll put those skills into practice by learning how to crochet a classic granny square.

You'll learn how to:

• Work crochet in the round
• Join your rounds
• Understand granny square construction
• Change colours
• Finish and weave in your ends

And most importantly, you'll leave with your very own granny square and the confidence to make more!
